Leopards ace Isuza completes Wazito switch

Wazito FC have raided yet another AFC Leopards player by snapping up Whyvonne Isuza after the Kenyan international terminated his contract with the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) giants for non-payment.

Isuza becomes Wazito’s fourth signing in the January transfer window following the arrivals Leopard’s Dennis Shikayi and KCB duo Kennedy Owino and Dennis Ng’ang’a.

In their official statement, Wazito expressed their excitement in bringing Isuza on board to help them steady their on and off season.

“We are delighted to announce that we have completed the signing of Whyvonne Isuza. He joins the club after terminating his contract with AFC,” the statement said.

It marks the latest setback for Ingwe who are undergoing a tough financial constraints both in the playing unit and the technical bench -having been affected negatively and it is for the same reason that forced Rwandan tactician Casa Mbungo leave the club in December.

The KPL strugglers are currently 13th on the log with eleven points following their 1-0 loss at the Kenyatta stadium, Machakos to reigning Champions Gor Mahia on Saturday.

It looks to be a busy window for Wazito after they released some of the big names late December.

Karim Nizigiyimana, Abouba Sibomana, goalie Gad Mathews and John Katua were some of the names which were released following some unconvincing displays since their promotion to the topflight.

The moneybags have been on a poor run and it remains to be seen whether the four signings will turn around their fortunes.

Their next assignment is against on form Ulinzi Stars at the Afraha Stadium,Nakuru on Wednesday.
