Dubbed “Last of Expense”, the policy aims to easen the financial burden for its members at the time of death of a loved one.

Leopards Sacco chairman Maurice Osundwa said: “This is a milestone for us as a club and as a Sacco. It will help provide a solution to the social problems of our embers moreso at the time of death.”

According to Osundwa, the policy will cover the principal member, parents to the principle member, the spouse, parents to the spouse and a maximum of four children.

He added: “This will help bring to an end the era of fund raisings for funerals when our members are affected .It will cover at an expense of a sum assured of Sh200, 000 per person.”

Members will be expected to pay a minimum contribution of Ksh 500 monthly premium.

Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka, Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa are among those expected to grace the event.
