The Independent Disciplinary Complaints & Committee (IDCC) on Friday adjourned the case of AFC Leopards and their suspended organizing secretary Timothy Lilumbi who are accused on instigating violence during Ingwe’s 1-1 draw against Nzoia Sugar at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos last weekend.

The matter is expected to be heard on Tuesday when both parties will be put on their defence.

In a statement, Kenyan Premier League’s IDCC said: “After reviewing an application from the correspondent who requested the presence of a prosecution witness at the case, IDCC has also ordered that Mr. Lilumbi avails himself in person on Tuesday after he was represented by an advocate today.”

Chaos erupted after the final whistle following  Nzoia’s last gasp equalizer which seemed to draw the ire of Ingwe faithfuls who later descended on centre referee George Mwai and his two assistants.

The aggrieved Leopards’ fans felt there was a foul on goalkeeper Erick Bakame in the build- up to Nzoia’s goal but referee Mwai stood his ground leading to the melee.

Leopards have since suspended Lilumbi for his alleged involvement in the fracas, adding that his acts went against the rules of the club.

Present at Tuesday’s IDCC hearing were Stephen Ligunya , Geoffrey Mulanya, Dennis Randiak and Dan Shikanda.
