Leopards official Juma tips Senaji for better things after Stars show

AFC Leopards defender Clyde Senaji has a very bright future, and should focus on maintaining his discipline to realise his potential, the club’s football operations manager Tom Juma has said.

Juma’s prediction comes after Senaji was handed a last minute-call-up to the national football team, Harambee Stars squad, and grabbed the opportunity with a solid display against Egypt last Friday.

The Leopards legend is now demanding that the former Tusker man stays grounded to perfect his career.

“He needs to put his feet on the ground because it is never a walk in the park in the national team. Competition is so stiff and that calls for one to work harder and stay calm.

Senaji together with striker Elvis Rupia are the only players who represented Leopards in the Stars squad.

“His future is very bright but he just needs to be disciplined and stay focused. We have seen a number of players getting a national call-up and that marks the end of their story as much as football is concerned,”Juma said.

Senaji was handed the opportunity to don the national colours thanks to an injury to Lawrence Juma, picked in the 1-1 draw against the Pharaohs of Egypt at Kasarani.

According to Juma, the Ingwe man should use the opportunity to stamp his authority in the team.

“He is a talented guy, he is on form and he has everything it takes to deserve a national team call-up.”
