Okoth’s indifferent stay at the den comes to an end after previous accusations of indiscipline. The club confirmed the release of the four on Monday on its official Twitter account.

“The club has released Collins Okoth, Henry Uche, Eric Bekoe and Alfred Wekesa on a mutual consent. We thank them for their services to the club and wish them all the best in their future endeavors,”the club said in a tweet.

Meanwhile, the team is expected to bring in fresh faces to bolster their case for a top-three finish.

The club has so far signed Saad Musa from Thika United. Head coach Rodolfo Zapata opted to sign him after being impressed by his displays when the two clubs met in the first leg Kenya Premier League match.

Saad is the second recruitment Ingwe has made so far in the transfer window after earlier securing the services of former Mathare ace Ezekiel Seda who was released upon expiry of his contract at the ‘Slum Boys’

At the same time, there are concerns in the Ingwe circles that the club could be destabilized further as Nakumatt FC is reported to be hunting for the services of Robinson Kamura and Moses Mburu.

Nakumatt has moved quickly to seal the transfers of Joseph Wachira and Harun Nyakha from Wazito FC, thus confirming its aim of turning around its fortunes in the second half of the league. Further signings by the club will top up on the recent confirmation of American Melis Medo as club manager for the next two years.

The mid-season transfer window  close in the next fortnight; more topflight clubs are expected to join the fray by making more signings as they eye renewed performances in the second phase of the league.
