Leopards sign David Ochieng on short term deal

AFC Leopards have secured the services of Kenyan international defender David ‘Cheche’ Ochieng, in what the club termed as “a short term deal”.

Leopards broke the news of the capture of the former Tusker man on their Twitter handle posting the picture of a smiling Ochieng posing for the camera as he is presented with the team’s jersey.

The Kenyan international joins as a free agent after parting ways with Brommapojkarna of Sweden after their relegation from the top tier in December last year.

Ochieng has been unsettled in the last four years turning out for amongst others Al-Taawou FC of Saudi Arabia, New York Cosmos in 2016 and Swedish outfit Brommapojkarna. He is expected to help bring stability to a Leopards defence that has been quite leaky this term, conceding 22 goals in 16 matches.

Meanwhile, Lloyd Wahome has ditched Tusker for National Super League side  Wazito FC on a two-year deal. Amos Asembeka, whom he turned out with at Tusker, has also joined the club on a year-long loan deal.
