Leopards star Wanyama, Gor’s Otieno elated with fans award

Gor Mahia’s defender Philemon Otieno and AFC Leopards youngster Brian Wanyama have been selected as the Fans Players of the Month.

The two were voted by the respective fans of the two clubs and feted for their impressive performances in the month of August, when the league ended.

Wanyama who has put on strong performances since his debut against Kariobangi Sharks in May this year, was ecstatic to be named player of the month and dedicated the gong to his teammates and technical bench.

On the other hand, Philomen Otieno has been a utility player for K’Ogalo since joining the side from Ushuru FC, becoming a stalwart in the team’s juggernaut.

Gor however endured one of their worst campaigns this season, finishing at position eight on 45 points, 20 behind champions Tusker FC.
