Leopards target win against familiar foes Wazito

Having registered three wins from four matches in the 2020-2021 FKF Premier League, AFC Leopards are keen to continue with their good run to pile pressure on leaders KCB.

The Antony Kimani coached side are aiming to bounce back from defeat in their last outing and garner maximum points this Saturday at the expense of Francis Kimanzi’s inconsistent Wazito FC.

Leopards Football Operations Manager Tom Juma is confident that the boys are well prepared to go for the skull of the moneybags to climb up the standings.

“It’s all about fighting for points since everyone goes to a fixture with the mentality to win and so it depends on how things pan out on match day.

All the teams are very hard to crack now that they also come well prepared, nevertheless we are hoping to get positive results and start the year with a win,” the Leopards legend said adding, “every player in the camp is upbeat and focused to play a part in the upcoming fixture and that’s why no one is complaining and the mood is high.”

Ingwe sit fourth  on the log on nine points, only six adrift of leaders KCB who have played one more game than Leopards with Wazito  placed seventh place a point below their weekend rivals.

From four matches Leopards have registered just one defeat, losing 0-2 to Western Stima at Kasarani.

They however face Wazito with a fully fit squad to choose from.

“Everybody is training well and putting in much effort to convince the coach for selection come this weekend,”Juma who offered distinguished service to the team during his playing days, said.
