Sydney Lokale scored a superbly executed hat-trick as Kariobangi Sharks achieved their ever win over Ulinzi Stars in a 3-1 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) success at the Kasarani Stadium.

Enosh Ochieng scored a neat strike for Ulinzi’s consolation with a late fight-back from the visitors proving little too late as they slumped to their latest defeat on Thursday.

Ulinzi finished the match with a man down after Oscar Mbongi was sent off for a dangerously high tackle on Fidel Origa in the 89th minute.

In the early kick-off on a day that had six midweek fixtures featured across the country, Sofapaka FC edged Nzoia Sugar 1-0 to climb into third on the KPL table thanks to John Avire’s winner.

Nzoia should have secured at least a point from the clash after they were awarded a penalty in the 64th minute but Hansel Ochieng failed to put it away, hitting his effort against the crossbar.

At the Ruaraka Grounds, Wycliffe Ochomo scored a second half equalizer as Bandari FC rallied to hold Tusker FC to a 1-1 draw after Bonfiace had given the hosts a first half lead.

After a dominant opening half Muchiri gave the Brewers a deserved lead in the 41st minute, flicking Hashim Sempala’s lovely delivery over and beyond Bandari goalkeeper Faruk Shikalo.

Bandari upped their tempo in the second half and drew level at the half-hour mark with Ochomo heading home William Wadri’s free kick. Shikalo made a brilliant stop to deny David Juma in the 84th minute after he had been teed up by Timothy Otieno.

Elsewhere in Awendo Mathare United forward Chrispin Oduor scored a late penalty to rescue a point for the league leaders from their 1-1 stalemate with Sony Sugar.

Chemelil Sugar versus Kakamega Homeboyz and KCB FC verus Posta Rangers produced the only blanks in round 12 of the KPL action after recording barren stalemates at the Chemelil Sports Complex and at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
