Man City make final bid for Arsenal star Sanchez

Arsene Wenger insists he is not concerned about Alexis Sanchez’s commitment should he stay at Arsenal this season due to what he describes as a “hunger index” for players.

The 28-year-old has repeatedly been linked with a move as he continues to stall over signing a new contract worth £300,000 a week.

Sanchez was unavailable for Friday’s dramatic 4-3 win over Leicester due to an abdominal strain but was still at Emirates Stadium, with Wenger continuing to rule out a transfer.

Manchester City are expected to test that resolve with an offer in excess of £50million before the window closes with Pep Guardiola keen to add further firepower to his attack.
