Mangoli wont rule out return to Leopards

Former AFC Leopards captain Bernard Mangoli is not ruling out a return to the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) giants after a move to Malaysian top flight club Selangor was curtailed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mangoli left KCB FC in December last year for trials with Selangor and he was due to agree terms in March before the pandemic struck, shutting down foreign travel and global sport.

The defender joined KCB in 2018 from Leopards but failed to get play time  prompting his release from the club along with three other players; Peter Manyika, Nicodemus Onyango and Steven Onyango.

“It will be a pleasure if a get a chance to serve AFC Leopards because they’re the team that believed in me and gave me a chance,” Mang’oli said.

Despite losing some of the key players during the mid-season transfer, Leopards have been on a resurgence under their youthful tactician Antony Kimani who Mangoli describes as a symbol of unity at the club

The Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT)  temporarily suspended Football Kenya Federation’s  decision to cancel the 2019/2020 Kenyan Premier League season  following an application filed by both the Kenyan Premier League body and Chemelil Sugar, Mangoli believes he still has more to offer in the football world .

“I have played in the Kenyan premier league for ten years and right know am a free agent if any team feels I can add value to their squad I will definitely be willing to sign for then,” Mangoli told Citizen Digital.
