Mathare United tie academy graduate Saidi to long-term deal

Mathare United have announced the signing of their academy graduate midfielder Saidi Musa, putting pen to paper on a five-year deal, his first professional contract.

The 18-year-old has earned promotion from the youth system where he honed his skills playing in the MYSA Pumwani Zone league.

An industrious player who prefers a central attacking midfield role, the Eastleigh High School alumnus has also represented the national U17 side at the 2018 CECAFA U17 tourney held in Burundi as well as the 2019 AFCON U17 CECAFA region qualifiers held in Tanzania also in 2018.

Saidi will now aim at winning a slot in the team’s midfield as well as help them  turnaround their floundering fortunes in the FKF Premier League.

The ‘Slum Boys’ are placed 16th on the 18-team log with nine points from 10 matches.
