Medo vows to end Bandari’s smooth KPL run as round 31 go off

Nakumatt FC head coach Melis Medo is optimistic his charges will overcome hosts Bandari when the two sides clash in a Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match on Saturday in Mombasa.

Albeit coming from two straight loses, Medo has challenged his players to stop Bandari’s impressive run that has seen the Coast based side avoid defeat in the campaign for the past three months.

Medo, who has lifted Nakumatt from relegation zone to near mid-table since his arrival in June, insisted they will travel to Mombasa for three points and nothing less.

“Bandari have been very strong recently. We are aware of what they can do on a good day but we are keeping the focus. I have no doubt we can exploit three points from them and reorganise going forward to finish the season strongly.

“We’ve lost our last two matches but we have to turn things around,” said Medo.

The tactician also revealed Cornelius Juma may miss the trip to Mombasa with an injury but believes the players at his disposal will do the necessary job.

“It’s too early for Juma to get involved as he still nurses his injury, most likely he will be out of Bandari clash but we still have good players in the squad whom I believe can deliver,” offeredd Medo.

Bandari’s Nicholas Meja will be unavailable after accumulating five yellow cards.

Elsewhere, Tusker will hope to continue their good run when they host Mathare United at Ruaraka grounds while at bottom of the table, will Wazito will entertain Zoo Kericho.
