Meet the price or lay off Omurwa, Wazito tells Mathare

Wazito FC have warned Mathare United to forget about securing the services of goalkeeper Johnson Omurwa if they do not meet the asking price.

Speculation has been rife that Mathare had secured the services of the custodian who has been training with them at their Ruaraka base but Wazito coach Frank Ouna maintains that Omorwa will only be granted his wish if the ‘Slum Boys’ meet the asking price.

“As a club, we are willing to let him go but Mathare needs to meet the price. We understand Mathare have been struggling a bit with finances but if they will not pay, then Omurwa will be part of our team in 2018,”Ouna said.

At the same time, Ouna termed Omorwa as a good talent with a promising future.

“He is an excellent young talented guy who will go places if he focuses on his game; I can’t find anything negative to talk about him.”

Wazito have also lost Zacharia Gathu, Denis Gicheru, and Austine  ‘Agusto Ochieng, all of whom decamped to KCB.
