Head coach Sébastien Migné has included Zambian-based duo Cliffton Miheso and John Mark Makwatta to the Harambee Stars squad for the Hero Intercontinental Cup in Mumbai.

Five other players also earned late call-ups with a total of 15 Stars leaving the country on Wednesday for the Indian city where four countries will battle it for the title from June 1-10.

Bryne Omondi and Timothy Otieno of Tusker FC, Bernard Ochieng (Vihiga United), Patilah Omotto (Kariobangi Sharks) and Thika United’s Dennis Odhiambo are the other players called up.

The septet come in place of Gor Mahia’s Harun Shakava, Joash Onyango, Humprey Mieno, Francis Kahata, Phillemon Otieno and Boniface Oluoch, who opted out due to club commitments.

The Mumbai Football Arena will host the inaugural edition of the four-nation tournament that also includes India, New Zealand and Chinese Taipei.

Kenya will take on New Zealand on June 2, 2018, before facing hosts India on June 4, 2018. Stars third match will pit them against Chinese Taipei on June 8, 2018.

The top two teams will face off in the final, slated for June 10.

Bryne Omondi (Tusker FC), Bernard Ochieng (Vihiga United), Dennis Odhiambo (Thika United), Kenneth Muguna (KF Tirana), Clifton Miheso (Buildcon FC) and John Makwatta (Buildcon FC) will travel on Thursday.
