Monday Football hosts FKF presidential aspirants
Citizen TV’s sports show Monday Football is set to host Football Kenya Federation (FKF) presidential aspirants in an exclusive debate Monday afternoon.
The debate set to begin at 1:30PM, is set to bring together for the fist time ever four of the aspirants Tom Alila, Nick Mwendwa, Sammy Shollei, Gor Semelang’o and will also include the participation of election observer Sammy Karanja.
The election will be the second in the new FKF Constitution which was brokered by world football governing body FIFA to end wrangles in local football.
The first election, held in 2013, saw Sam Nyamweya clinch the chairmanship (now president) while Sammy Shollei became vice chair. Shollei along with other officials were, however, later suspended from the federation for what was termed as gross misconduct.
The incumbent, Nyamweya, will be defending his position in the coming elections set for November 13, 2015.
The show, which highlights matters football on both the local and international fronts, is hosted by experienced sports reporters Mike Okinyi, Bernard Ndong and Waihiga Mwaura.
