Moving the Goalposts from Kilifi is among six projects that have been selected across the world  for a possible cash reward to help them develop their project.

Manchester City Football Group in England and its partners have pledged £400,000(Ksh 52.7 million) to CityzensGiving campaign, which will fund community football projects delivered by inspiring young leaders who are attempting to tackle pressing societal issues.

Moving the Goalposts provides girls & young women with HIV education through football.

Other projects that have been included are Manchester City Girls from England that provides girls-only football sessions, building confidence and leadership skills, New York City’s Soccer Bloc from USA that uses street soccer to bring children from different communities together, I Speak Football from Melbourne, Australia that uses football to help young people make friends & get help with school, Water Goals from Bangalore that combines football with safe water education to keep kids healthy and in school and finally Projeto Gol from Sao Paolo, Brazil that uses football to help kids do better in school & improve their life skills.

Cityzens Giving is asking Cityzens to decide how Manchester City will split £400,000 across six community football projects around the world. Fans are encouraged to vote for their favourite project and could win a signed Aguero shirt.

For the fifth successive year, fans will have the opportunity to change the lives of communities around the world through Manchester City’s life-changing community football campaign Cityzens Giving.

Run by inspiring young leaders, these community-based football programmes use the power of the beautiful game of football to tackle social issues affecting young people in their cities.

This global campaign brings together the Manchester City Football Group family as fans to vote for the project they find most inspiring.

The more votes a project gets, the more funding it will receive, with voting closing on Christmas Eve.

Cityzens Giving encourage fans to positively impact the lives of others each Christmas, but the effect goes far beyond the festive period.

Fans decide how funds are split.
