Muguna, Miheso send Gor top of KPL

The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia FC moved top of the table with a 2-0 victory over Nzoia Sugar at the Mumias Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Fresh from being knocked out of the CAF Champions League on Sunday by USM Alger, Gor produced a dominant performance against the home side with captain Kenneth Muguna and Clifford Miheso getting the goals.

It was Gor’s third straight win and maintained their perfect start to the new campaign following victories against Tusker FC and KCB FC.

The league leaders will next host Zoo Kericho at the Kenyatta Stadium in Nakuru on Sunday with the aim of continuing with their impressive domestic start.

Nzoia have dropped to 13th place after losing their second game of the season, the millers have four points having won, draw and lost twice they next face KCB on Saturday.

The league will continue tomorrow at the Mbaraki Stadium in Mombasa when the countries CAF confederation cup representatives Bandari clash with Posta Ranger.

The Dockers remain unbeaten these season having collected seven points from three games played so far having won twice and drawn.
