Muhiddin hails impact of fit-again duo in Mathare win

Bandari caretaker coach Twahir Muhiddin has attributed the team’s improved performance to the return of key players from injury.

Speaking after guiding Bandari to their second consecutive win, thanks to a 3-1 victory over Mathare United at their Mbaraki backyard, Muhiddin praised Yema Mwana and Abdallah Hassan for their outstanding performance, the duo being pivotal after returning from an injury layoff.

“We have been wasting chances before but Abdallah and Yema are back and they are completing what we have missed,” said Muhiddin.

The former Harambee Stars tactician added that the two league wins will act as a motivation for his side as they prepare to tackle KCB in their next away fixture during the weekend in Machakos.

Bandari’s new acquisition John Mwita also received compliments from his coach as he made an assist in his first start for the dockers since joining their ship from relegated SoNy Sugar during the January transfer window.

“The winning momentum is good for us and a stimulus ahead of our weekend match against KCB,” he said.

The Coastal based side have won three games in a row; two in the league against KCB and Mathare United and another in the FKF Shield against Kenya School of Government.

Despite the weekend victory, they are still rooted at position 11th on the log with 26 points after 21 games, 3 points shy Posta Rangers.
