Muhiddin: We were blunt against Posta

Interim Bandari FC coach Twahir Muhiddin says his attackers will have to pull up their socks if they were to make impact in the early stages of the FKF-PL, 2020/2021 season.

Muhiddin, also Harambee Stars assistant coach, has once again been called to lead the dockers after the resignation of Ken Odhiambo, who joined rivals Sofapaka last week.

On Wednesday, the veteran coach was in charge as Bandari’s settled for a 1-1 draw against Posta Rangers, a result he regretted as a wasted opportunity.

“You have seen it yourselves, we have given away two points to our opponents. We should have won easily. When you have experienced strikers like we have, you expect them to convert some of the clear-cut chances but if they can’t get a goal out of four, it leaves a lot of work to be done,” said the soft spoken coach.

His opposite number Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo observed the match could have gone either way, also pointing out his charges are not sharp enough in opponents’ goals.

“I laud my players for the draw. This has always been a difficult fixture for us, so it is a result you would expect. I’m however concerned with the draws we have registered (4 in five matches) because we need to step up and start bagging wins. The moment we get the first win, it should be easier to sustain the momentum,” Pamzo offered.

Bandari are now 6th on the log, while Posta are 11 after the opening five rounds.
