Muhoronis love affair with KPL inches towards an excruciating end

Muhoroni Youth’s love affair with the Kenyan Premier League is teetering on the brink of a painful divorce after they were walloped  7-0 by a charged Kariobangi Sharks in a league match on Saturday at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
The defeat leaves Muhoroni inching closer to earning the dreaded relegation ticket as they are still pitched rock bottom of the log with 25 points from 31 games, with  just three matches left to the end of the campaign.
By soaking up seven goals in one match, the writing is clearly on the wall for the Awasi based side.
At Kasarani, Masoud Juma, Sharks main mane this term , was in his rampant best, bagging an incredible four goals, becoming the only second player to do so after Jesse Were’s heroics  in 2015 while with Tusker FC.
Masoud’s four goals saw him soar to the apex of  the top scorers chart , taking his tally for the season to 15 goals,  three clear of his closest challengers.

Duke Abuya, Ovella Ochieng and substitute Calvin Odongo were also on target and the scoreline should have been more embarrassing for the visitors had it not been for expert defending from Jacob Faina.
Elsewhere, at the Mumias Complex, hosts Kakamega Homeboyz shared the spoils with Chemelil Sugar in an exciting 2-2 draw.
