Mwalala turns the heat on referees after twin league losses

Bandari FC head coach Bernard Mwalala has once again attacked the match officials after his side succumbed to a 1-0 loss to Ulinzi Stars on Sunday in a Kenyan Premier League (KPL) duel held at Afraha Stadium, Nakuru.

In his post-match reflections, Mwalala decried the continued ‘poor officiating’ his side has faced in the top-tier league.

“We are trying all we can to get maximum points but someone is just here to deny us everything,” lamented Mwalala.

At the same time, Mwalala observed that fatigue has also contributed to poor run in the league having travelled to Kisumu for their mid-week clash against Western Stima prior to their match against Ulinzi.

“We have been travelling in and out of the country of course. It has affected our performance as players lose concentration. As we head for a break  I  promise our fans that we will come back strongly and ensure we fulfill our pledge of winning the league title,” added Mwalala.

The Dockers now sit at position 11 in the KPL log with 11 points after eight outings and will host league heavyweights AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia on November 20 and 23 respectively.

On his part, Ulinzi Stars  head coach Benjamin Nyangweso reveled in the win observing that his boys took their chances.

“Against AFC we didn’t create a lot of chances but today(Sunday) we managed to create a few and made use of one which won us the game,” said Nyangweso.

After the win, the military side climbed up to fifth in the standings with 16 points after nine matches.
