Mwendwa faces FKF electoral board

Nick Mwendwa became the first aspirant for the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) presidential seat to appear before the electoral board, in the ongoing exercise at the federation headquarters in Nairobi.

Flanked by his Deputy Doris Petra, incumbent Mwendwa arrived in pomp and colour escorted by a wave of supporters wearing shirts with a message ‘Team Blue – let’s do this’ with several branch leaders also in tow.

On the back, the shirts read ‘Game ni yangu, Game ni yako,’ a shift from the slogan ‘Team Change’ that Mwendwa coined for the 2016 elections.

After a thorough verification process of his documents and the minimum required endorsements by stakeholders, Mwendwa told journalists he believes the gains made during his administration give him confidence he will get another chance.
