Nairobi City Stars continue hot NSL streak
Nairobi City Stars held their advantage at the top of the National Super League (NSL) standings with 25 points after overcoming Nairobi Stima 2-1 at the Karuturi Grounds in Naivasha on Wednesday.
The win allowed the Kawangware-based to open up an eight point gap at the summit of the 20-team log on 25 points after nine rounds with Bidco United and Migori Youth joint second.
Bidco, who lead Migori Youth only on goal difference, topped Kibera Black Stars 1-0 at the Camp Toyoyo Grounds as the hosts continued what has been a wretched start to their season.
City Stars are bidding to return to the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) after three years in the cold and continued their pursuit for promotion when Wesley Onguso and Davies Agesa lifted them past Stima who replied through Victor Omune.
They next face Fortune Sacco at home on Monday next week.
