Nairobi Water, Ulinzi set for face-off in final

Nairobi Water and Ulinzi Sharks will face off in the Super Cup women’s handball final after knocking out Mount Kenya University and N.C.P.B respectively at the Nyayo Stadium Gymnasium on Saturday.

Gladys Chilo scored 30 points to lead Nairobi Water’s 41-12 rout of MKU in a lopsided match with Brenda Aviza and Alfreda Alela playing co-stars with brilliant performances.

“My defensive team played well allowing only 12 points, which was quite impressive am now eyeing on slotting the finals,” Nairobi Water coach Jack Habert said post-match.

The other last four clash witnessed a closer contest with Ulinzi edging out N.C.P.B 28-25. Alexina Ambani of Ulinzi and N.C.P.B’s Cynthia Akinyi scored six points apiece.
