Nakumatt out to pile more misery on Chemelil

Nakumatt FC will seek to climb closer into the top half of the Kenyan Premier League table when they take on struggling Chemelil Sugar on Saturday.

Head coach Melis Medo says he expects a difficult game at the Chemelil Complex where the hosts will be looking to get a response to end a wretched run in which they have lost six of their previous eight matches.

“I don’t like away matches but we are ready for the next challenge,they are a good opponent(Chemelil)but we are going to give our best,our usual think is to go for the three points and thats what we are looking forward to.”said Medo.

The American tactician has also noted how they are going to approach the match but insisted it will be no different with how they last played in their 6-1 win when they thrashed Kakamega Homeboyz a fortnight ago at Camp Toyoyo.

“We need to simplify our game but we must also really show up,No room to hide behind the defenders.We are going to attack them from the time the whistle blows until the last minute of the match,” Medo said.

Nakumatt are enjoying a bit of an upturn, rising from the rock bottom of the KPL into 12th having shrugged off their shocking early season form with a change in management and new signings pushing them up them up the ranks.

Since taking over the charges from Anthony Mwangi early this month, Medo has won four games in his first six matches, losing only once.

Elsewhere at the Mbaraki Stadium in Mombasa, Bandari FC will be looking to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat in the hands of Tusker FC in their FKF Shield match when they entertain Mathare United.

Mathare, third on the log with 33 points are separated with the Dockers with a margin of only two points and the slum boys will want to avoid a defeat when they visit Ken Odhiambo’s boys.
