Nakuru hit Blak Blad in Kenya Cup

Top Fry Nakuru outclassed Blak Blad 42-22 as they secured back to back Kenya Cup wins at the Nakuru Athletic Club on Saturday.

Nakuru’s full back Collins Onyango scored unconverted try with Martin Muita scoring a penalty to give Wanyores an 8-0 lead. Blak Blad’s Archedias Kwesa pulled a try back with Allan Ominde adding the extras to make it 8 all.

Ominde added a penalty as the visitors went 11-8 up before James Njenga responded with a try after two successful scrums from Mitch Ocholla’s charges with the sensational Muita converting to make it 15-11.

Njenga completed his brace as Nakuru stretched their lead to 20-11 but Ominde struck again as the Campus Boys narrowed the deficit with the scoreboard reading 20-14.

Muita scored another penalty for the Wanyores to make it 23-14 at half time.

Blad came ready to change the equations in the second half with Humphrey Litali scoring an easy try after an offload from Ominde to make it 23-19.

Nakuru’s winger Chrispine Onyango scored a try with Muita converting it for a 30-19 lead.

8th man Edwin Makori scored unconverted try for Nakuru with Donald Aluoch making an impressive run to score a try with Moses Akaranga converting it for a 42-19.

Blad’s Litali perfected his penalty in the last minute to make it 42-22 win at full time for the Wanyores.
