New AFC Leopards kit to arrive on Tuesday

AFC Leopards’ new replica kit manufacture by Umbro will be sent from Dubai on Friday and will arrive in Nairobi on Tuesday ahead of the new Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season.

Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda flew to Turkey last month to inspect the kit with each jersey set retail at Sh3,000. The club expected to unveil their final squad for the new season later this month in their new colours.

Among players expected to be unveiled are; striker Peter Thiong’o from Kakamega Homeboyz, winger Harrison Mwendwa from Kariobangi Sharks and Congolese star Fabrice Kakule Mugheni.

Leopards have already lost Vincent Oburu who joined moneybags Wazito FC on a free transfer after the forward turned down a new offer from the 12-time champions.

The club also released defender Christopher Oruchum who has joined rivals Tusker FC .

Head coach Antony Modo Kimani is keen to build a team that finally end the Leopards’ KPL title drought.

Ingwe were sixth on the KPL table on 40 points, 14 behind leaders Gor Mahia FC who were declared champions following the cancellation of the league due to disruption cause by the COVID-19 pandemic.
