No white smoke yet in Kamura-Leopards contract talks

Despite heightened bid by AFC Leopards hierarchy to tie skipper Robinson Kamura to a new deal, nothing much has been materialised with the meeting between club boss Dan Shikanda and the player failing to unlock the impasse on Monday.

According to Shikanda, offers have been put on the table for Kamura to sign and he remains confident that they will manage to tie him down.

“Yes we have sat him down although the environment is so much polluted. There are people who are inciting him to reject offers we have put on the table… telling him not to accept anything below Ksh 2million before signing the contract extension.

The poisonous incitement is interfering with our talks,”Shikanda claimed, adding that, “It has been hard to even push with anything and people know the situation at the club.”

Kamura who signed for the big cats in 2017 recently told our sister station Mulembe FM that he has a number of offers from top clubs in Zambia and Tanzania though he is willing to commit his future to Ingwe.

Kamura is an important cog to head coach Anthony Kimani and has started all the league matches since the season began.

Since 2018, the defender has been an ever-present feature in the team.
