Nyanza ousts five schools from Games over cheating

Five schools accused of fielding mercenaries have been expelled from the ongoing Term 2B Secondary School Games in Nyanza region.

Two of the schools, Mogonga Mixed (volleyball) Gesero Boys (football), were representatives of Kisii County with Ringa Boys (volleyball), Olembo Boys (volleyball) and Ligisa Boys (football) also ousted from the competition.

Coaches from each of the institutions were ordered to record statements at the Homa Bay Police Station in Homa Bay County where the annual competition is being staged or face arrests.
