Nzoia Sugar FC tactician Sylvester Murukurwa is confident his side will pocket all three points when they take on Western Stima in their next Football Kenya Federation Premier League fixture this weekend.
Nzoia held their own to force a 0-0 draw against out of form Kakamega Homeboyz at the Bukhungu Stadium, and Murukurwa is bullish his boys can switch off Stima who lost 2-0 against Bandari over the weekend.
“We are going for the three points and nothing less; we shall score goals, my boys are in good spirit,” he told Citizen Digital after earning a point against Homeboyz.
Nzoia Sugar have now failed to record a win in the last 21 of its top flight assignments.
Their last win dates back to October 2019 when they beat Sofapaka 2-1 at Sudi Stadium and Murukurwa says he intends to put a stop to this poor run starting with the Western Stima.
“My boys played well, created chances against Homeboyz but only failed to convert the opportunities into goals.

The team has really improved and I am hoping to get the three points against Western Stima at home,” said Murukurwa.
Stat attack: Three of Nzoia`s last four matches have produced less than 2.5 goals. They have, however, conceded four goals in those four matches. Notably, the side has kept a clean sheet in two of their last four matches.
Players to watch: Philip Muchuma, the former Sofapaka forward, scored in most of Nzoia home fixtures last season and contributed to most of the side’s goals. He is hungry to get back on score sheets.
