Nzoia crush Nakuru All-Stars to top NSL

Nzoia Sugar crushed Nakuru All-Stars 4-0 on Sunday at the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma County to scale to the top of the National Super League (NSL) on goal-difference.

Sylvester Ochichi opened the score-sheet in the 20th before John Khanda doubled the lead ten minutes later.

In form Masita Masuta got on the score-sheet for third goal in the 50th before Bolton Mwenga completed the rout ten minutes from full time to put the hosts on course for promotion to Sportpesa Premier League.

The Bungoma based former two-time national champions have not conceded any goal at home so far as they kept their unbeaten record in the NSL with eight wins and three draws.

Elsewhere Nakumatt FC beat Moyas FC 3-2 at Machakos in front of passionate fans to climb to second ahead of Agrochemicals and Zoo Kericho who dropped to third and fourth.

Both Nzoia and Nakumatt are locked 27 points but the former have two games on hand and a better goal difference (+15 against +13) with Agro and Zoo trailing the leaders with 26 and 25. Zoo have also played two games less.

At Kasarani, Nairobi based clubs Kariobangi Sharks and Nairobi Stima shared the spoils in a 1-1 stalemate.

Police FC thumped Bidco FC 3-1, at Thika Municipal Stadium to hand the hosts a first home loss of the campaign.

At Camp Toyoyo hosts Wazito FC were forced to a barren stalemate with KCB.
