Nzoia Sugar confident of grinding Sharks

Nzoia Sugar FC interim coach Peter Mwaura says his team’s goal is to get maximum points from Kariobangi Sharks when the two sides collide this weekend.

Nzoia were frustrated to a 2-0 defeat at the Narok Stadium against new babies Nairobi City last weekend and Mwaura is bullish that his boys can fire on all cylinders in their Saturday assignment in Bungoma.

“We really need to score goals, we need to push hard in our next assignment against Sharks, we have to pocket the three points at any cost,” he said.

Nzoia had a poor run in last season’s campaign and Mwaura is bullish his boys are charged to finish in a better position this season owing to the mega signings that he believes has stabilized the team.

“The team is stronger and better than last season, we have players who will make a difference and I am hopeful we will grind out positive results,” he said.

Meanwhile, Kariobangi Sharks started their campaign on high after they edged money bags Wazito 4-0 and the Wiliam Muluya coached side is hoping to build on the weekend results to pocket maximum points against Nzoia.
