The host were leading 12-0 at halftime after Michael Wanjala ran to the furthest corner after a well played game by the Oilers to score in the center post with Austine Sikuta converting it to make it 7-0.

A bladder by Wanyore’s Duncan Ambugeka in the defence handed Weru charges their second try this time round Nickson Ochieng scoring the try at the left corner Sikutwa missing the extras to bring the score at 12-0.

Second half Oilers had the host bragging rights having a successful maul that gave space to Omella Okwemba scoring their third try with substitute Abutwalib Wesonga converting to make it 19-0

Chrispin Onyango pulled one back for the visitors after a well played line out with Collins Onyango missing the conversion to make it 19-5.

New force Hillary Malweyi brought excitement in the field fighting for Oilers fourth try Wesonga missing the extras.

Less than a minute Kenyan international Davies Nyaundi sent Top Fry’s defense the wrong way scoring Oilers fifth try in the center of the post this time round Wesonga converting it to make it 31-5.

Other results defending Kenya Cup champions KCB RFC whitewashed new boys in the league 48-11 at Ruaraka ground while last year finalists Kabras Sugar Outshined new comers Kisumu RFC 89-0.

Menengai Cream Homeboyz defeated Kenya Harlequins 26-13 while Mitch Ocholla’s charges Impala Saracens won 26–14 against host Nondescripts.

Mwamba RFC defeated varsity side Blak Blad 34-27.
