Maurice Ojuang is the new chairman of Chemelil FC, following elections conducted on Thursday for 2018/19 season at Chemelil Sports Complex.

The elections, presided by Washington Yogo after a two-week period of a campaign, saw Ojuang overcome the incumbent  Owino Nyamudhe by 15 votes against five.

Caleb Mageta retained the Secretary position unopposed. The outgoing Treasurer Cavin Odhiambo didn’t defend his seat.

Noel ‘Ondile’ Omondi floored Davis Nyandieka by 13 votes, the latter garnering six votes while Organizing Secretary went to Titus Sitawa after beating Nicholas Adoyo by 11 votes to eight.

In the last year, outgoing chairperson Nyamudhe defeated incoming chairman Ojuang for the same post.
