Olago purring after indefatigable ‘Lions’ claim Floodies title

KCB RFC head coach Curtis Olago has attributed his team’s sweet savoured victory over Impala Saracens in the finals of the Floodies tournament  to hard work by his boys.

The bankers were tactically good; playing with poise and determination to dethrone Saracens from the helm, claiming an 18-17 victory over the latter on Saturday night, to lift the gong.

Tries from the tournament’s Most Valuable Player Ken Moseti and Elphas Otieno sealed the win for the bankers.
Timothy Makia and Xavier Kipngetich of Impala Saracens gave impressive performances against the “Lions” but Otieno’s last minute try in the second half relegated the former champions to a runners up finish.

“It has been a great tournament winning one game after another, and our journey towards winning the final has been a clear testament of hard-work, focus and God above all,” a bullish Olago charged in a post-match interview, adding that: “My boys have been keen on working on our defence strategy and guess it has paid off with the win, and moving forward we are hoping that the gods will be on our side again this season”.
