Olunga, Ouma join Stars camp ahead of WCQ
Harambee Stars preparations for the forthcoming 2022 World Cup qualifiers got a shot in the arm Monday evening after lead striker Michael Olunga, goalie Ian Otieno, utility man Eric Ouma, Richard Odada, striker Masud Juma, and midfielder Kenneth Muguna joined camp and took part in the team’s training session at the MISC Kasarani.
KAA Gent’s defender Joseph Okumu and Sweden-based midfielder Eric Johanna Omondi are expected to report to camp tonight.
The team will hold their final training session on September 1, 2021, as they prepare themselves to face Uganda Cranes on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Thereafter, Stars will head to Rwanda tentatively on September 3rd, to face Amavubi (The Wasps) on September 5, 2021 in another qualifying match.
Head coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee will be relying on his skipper Michael Olunga to lead his charges quest for goals in the two assignments.
