Kenya’s only medal hope in the boxing ring Christine Ongare reached the semi-final of the Women’s 51kg category after knocking out Sri Lankan Dulani Jayasinghe.

Ongare will thus face Carly McNaul of Northern Ireland in Friday’s semi-final with Australian Taylah Robertson and Lisa Whiteside of England squaring off in the other semi
