Orotomal out to fuel Bandari’s title ambitions

Bandari FC striker Alex Orotomal has said his target is to help his new club achieve their ambition of winning its first ever Kenyan Premier League (KPL) title this season.

The former AFC Leopards player penned down a two-year contract with Dockers on Thursday after ending his contract with Ethiopian giants St Georges.

Orotomal said he has received a ‘warm reception’ at the club and added he could not wait to show the fans what he can do on the pitch.

“I am happy to have joined this club. I have come here to halp the clun to go as far as we can even if its winning the title,” Orotomal told Citizen Digital.

The Nigerian left Leopards at the end of last season after an underwhelming stint and did not last long at St Georges either with reports suggesting he had difficulties with settling in.

Orotomal had been training with Bandari over the past few days but the club had yet to make a formal announcement on whether a deal had been reached.

His addition looks to add more fire power in Bandari’s attacking force especially after Wycliffe Ochomo was ruled out for at least three months with an arm injury.

The club has had to rely heavily on William Wadri and Yema Mwana for goals with the duo able to make bigger impact driving in from the wings.

Bandari suffered only their second league defeat of the season during the previous round when they lost 2-1 to Ulinzi Stars and Orotomal will hope he can reignite the title charge for his new club.
