Orotomal set for Bandari FC debut

Alex Orotomal could make his maiden Bandari FC appearance if Football Kenya Federation (FKF) finish the processing of his player card before end of Tuesday, coach Bernard Mwalala has said.

Bandari have an away trip to Sony Sugar on Wednesday with the chance to move back on top of the KPL standings and Mwalala believes Orotomal is in good shape and ready for his debut.

The Nigerian signed a deal with Bandari on Thursday after ending his contract with Ethiopian giants St Georges and is viewed as short-term replacement for injured striker Wycliffe Ochomo.

“Orotomal is in our plan and will be giving us another option in the striking force as they match Ochomo in body and playing style,” Mwalala said.

The Dockers will miss the services of goalkeeper Farouk Shikhalo and Moses Mudavadi as the two are currently away on international assignments.

Shikhalo was called up to the national team Harambee Stars while Mudavadi is in Khartoum with the junior team, Emerging Stars who are set to play Sudan in their 2020 Oympics qualifier.

Bandari are third on the log with 32 points, after 16 matches tied with Gor Mahia who are second and one point behind league leaders Sofapaka who have played two more matches.
