Paarwater tells Simbas to watch out for Zimbabwean speed

Head Coach Jerome Paarwater has warned the Kenya Simbas to look out for Zimambwe’s speedy game as they prepare to do battle on Saturday.

The Simbas are unbeaten in the Africa Rugby Gold Cup and head to Harare on the back of an impressive 45-25 victory over Senegal and Paarwater has told his charges Zimbabwe will present a different challenge compared to their previous opponents.

The tactician maintained Zimbabwe has no fear for the Kenyan team because they were able to give leaders Namibia a hard time leading 20-7 by halftime, in the game they were later on defeated narrowly by 31-26.

“Zimbabwe is a positive team we have played them a lot, so they also want to play the game in the true spirit so I think it will be a great game.”

“Our game is based on speed, Zimbabwe is also based on speed Namibia a bit slower but not negative.” Paarwater said.

The Simbas stay second in the six-team log after defeating Senegal 45-25 last weekend bagging five points to add up to 12 after three matches two behind leaders Namibia who came back to defeat Zimbabwe 31-26 in Windhoek.

Kenya expects to welcome back winger Jacob Ojee who has been sensational this season but suffered a rib injury during last weekend’s match against Senegal.

Assistant coach Dominique Habimana confirmed that Ojee is fit to play this weekend saying it’s a big boost for the team.

Zimbabwe stay fourth after playing two matches in 2017 beating Senegal and losing against Namibia while Kenya drew with Uganda and won against Tunisia and Senegal.

It will be Kenya’s first away match in the season having played all her first three matches at home.
