Quins disarm Ngong Warriors to record flying start in Enterprise Cup
Kenya Harlequins will face defending champions Homeboyz in the pre-quarterfinals of the Enterprise Cup after easily demolishing Championship side Ngong Warriors 80-3 at RFUEA ground on Saturday.
Man of the match Tony Mutai scored a hat-trick for Charles Cardovillis charges who went on to score 14 tries, converting five, against Ngong’s well taken penalty.
Scott Oluoch and Jasper Ochieng scored a brace each with the experienced Willy Ambaka, Herman Humwa and Frank Wanyama also on the score sheet.
Aluda Beda, Matt Wanjia, Dominic Osino and Aaron Oforywroth, also put their names on the scoresheet.
In other matches, Kenya Cup side Strathmore Leos demolished varsity side JKUAT 59-15 while Championship side Mombasa RFC narrowly won 20-19 against Moi Arsonists.
Kisumu RFC, Menengai Oilers, Mean Machine, Kisii RFC and Western Bulls all got walkover after the away sides failed to honour their fixtures.
In other pre-quarterfinals matches, Blak Blad will face Kisumu RFC while Kabras Sugar will lock horns with Mombasa RFC.
Nondiescripts play Menengai Oilers; Impala Saracens face Strathmore Leos, Mwamba hosts Mean Machine, KCB play Kisii RFC while Top Fry Nakuru battle Western Bulls.
