Resolution to underwrite Safari 7s in Ksh200m deal

Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has partnered with Resolution to underwrite the 2016 Safari 7s whose activities started with the Africa 7s showdown in a Ksh200m deal, the firm announced Friday.

Resolution will provide a guarantee of compensation for specified loss, injury, damage or cancellation of the event.

“The insurer will provide cover against such losses related to business interruption, Cash in Transit, Cash in Premises, money with authorized employees, Damage to safe, Estimated annual carry, Fidelity Guarantee, Public Liability, WIBA as well as the Event Cancellation.

“Resolution Insurance is committed to undertake this sponsorship as a part of the company’s overall strategy to support the development of sports disciplines and nurture young talent in the countries where we operate,” a statement quoting Resolution Insurance Kenya Managing Director Alice Mwai.

The Safari 7s will feature defending champions Samurai and other globally recognized sevens stars and teams such as Ignacio Martin (Spain), Michael Fedo (Scotland) as well as Kenya’s Andrew Amonde who are all expected to be in action for their teams during the rugby series.
