Revamped KFF in the pipeline, Nyamweya camp says

Former chief executive officer western branch Rajab Wangalwa says they are ready to revive Kenya Football Federation (KFF) to run football in the country.

“We had a meeting in a hotel in Nairobi where we resolved that if FKF is suspected to be having plans to rig elections then we will embark on revamping Kenya Football Federation to run soccer in this country.

“We still have the KFF certificate and nothing can stop us from giving the federation a lifeline to start operationalizing football activities,” Wangalwa underscored.

He said it was shocking to see the Kentice Tikolo led board block him from vying for the position of western secretary general post despite getting clearance by the same board.

“I applied and presented my papaers to the FKF electoral board on August 26th in Nairobi and they gave me an acknowledgement form.

“Shockingly when they released a shortlist of those who had been cleared to vie for the position of secretary general in western branch I realized that my name was missing.

“On calling the chairperson Tikolo, she told me that my name has got a problem, which I don’t understand and still waiting for an answer to the mail I wrote them to explain their reservations,” Wangalwa added.

Wangalwa has also noted that the board was firing questionable questions to candidates wanting to find out which presidential candidate one was supporting before they acted on anything.

He is expected to lock horns with Antony Okumu- Navakholo and Martin Kabuga from Makunga if he will be cleared by the FKF electoral board.

County elections are set to be held on September 19th while national elections hold on October 17.
