RMS Editor Otani clinches Media Golf Challenge

Royal Media Services News Editor Mac Otani has emerged victorious in the final Airtel Media Golf Challenge for the year held at the Par 70 Golf Park in Nairobi.

Otani who is a handicap 28 golfer managed a score of 75 nett to beat a strong challenge of the more than 30 media colleagues who took part in the golf tournament for scribes held on Saturday at the Ngong Racecourse venue.

Coming in second with 76 nett in the Single Stroke Play competition was Fred Kirui, a handicap 26, from Standard Group Limited to push his company mate Moses Sammy, with a 20 handicap, to third place also with a nett score of 76 losing to Kirui on countback.

In the fourth place was Tony Kwalanda of Media Max and fifth Edwin Kwambai of Royal Media Services who both carded in at 77 nett, with Kwambai getting the lowest gross score.

In the ladies’ category, the non-handicapped Shirley Achieng of KBC led the pack with a nett score of 76. The next Airtel Media Golf competition will be held in January 2017.
