Ronaldinho the star attraction at Camp Toyoyo as Jericho bag title

The Camp Toyoyo grounds in Jericho Estate in Nairobi filled to the rafters on Sunday afternoon ostensibly to catch a glimpse of Brazilian great Ronaldinho Gaucho as Jericho Allstars added another feather in their hat after thrashing hapless Technical University of Kenya (TUK) 3-0 to claim the Extreme Sports Champions League trophy at a packed Camp Toyoyo grounds.

Ronaldinho who is in the country to promote football activities arrived at the venue a few minutes before kickoff amidst tight security driving the excited crowd into frenzy.

Camp Toyoyo is located at the heart of Nairobi eastlands; the heart and soul of football, and rightly so the soccer enthusiasts turned out in their record numbers.

Few weeks ago, the victors won the annual Extreme Sports Super 8 tournament at the same venue. The match was graced by visiting former Brazilian international Ronaldinho Gaucho and Extreme Sports CEO Mohamed Hussein and area legislator George Aladwa among other dignitaries.

After a barren first half, Jericho exploded in the second half with John Owalla opening the floodgate in the 47th min before Kevin Ndungu claimed a brace on the 53rd and 88th.

Earlier at the same venue, Hakati sportiff finished third after edging out Umeme FC 2-1.

Hakati scored through Bonaventure Atse and Francis Voti while Umeme pulled one back through George Mbugua.
