Ronaldo joins Portugal’s Euro training camp

Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe joined their national team-mates on Sunday (June 5), in Lisbon to start the preparation for Euro2016.

Portugal national coach Fernando Santos gave a few days of rest to the two Real Madrid players after they have won the Champions League cup against Atletico Madrid.

Fernando Santos has now the 23 men squad complete after Ronaldo and Pepe joined the training session at the national team headquarters.

Forward Nani told reporters ahead the training session that play with Ronaldo it’s easier but for him it’s easy to play with any of his teammates,”Any position at front, I’ve being playing at any position, I know every player at the national team, it’s easy to play with any player of this team especially with Cristiano that is a fantastic player but I will feel well playing with Cristiano or any other player.”

Portugal will play a last preparation match in Lisbon against Estonia on June 8 before departure to Marcoussis the headquarters in France for Euro2016.

“We just need to believe in ourselves and believe that everything is possible and begin the competition with all our strengths to reach our objectives.” Nani added.

Portugal have been drawn in Euro 2016 Group F along with Iceland, Hungary and Austria.
