Ronaldo’s Portugal to face the Netherlands in friendly

European champions Portugal are today(Monday) set to face The Netherlands in an international friendly, as part of their preparation for the World Cup 2018.

Portugal beat Egypt 2-1 on Friday and will line up against The Netherlands in Switzerland.

Portugal said both are good teams, able to provide a strong opposition and a good training before the world competition.

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo scored two stoppage-time goals to steal the 2-1 win over Egypt, after Mohamed Salah had given the African side the lead, and they will be aiming to get another pivotal win in tonight’s match.

The Netherlands were being defeated by England 1-0, during Ronald Koeman’s first game in charge.

Koeman said he hoped the game against Portugal could provide an opportunity to improve their game
