Rupia downs Sofapaka to fire Leopards top

AFC Leopards maintained their perfect start to the FKF Premier League (FKF-PL) with a 3-0 rout of Sofapaka FC thanks to Elvis Rupia’s second half hat-trick at the Kasarani Annex on Saturday.

The victory steered Leopards top of the FKF-PL standings with the maximum nine points from three matches, and KCB FC could match that tally if they beat Kakamega Homeboyz on Sunday.

At the Moi Stadium in Kisumu, Tusker and Western Stima served up a goal fest with the former edging it 5-2 to seal a first win of the season.

David Majak and Jackson Macharia each scored a brace for Tusker in a crazy opening period which ended 4-2 in favour of the visitors who were kept in contention by Samuel Odhiambo’s double.

At Utalii grounds, Kariobangi Sharks drew 2-2 with with newly promoted Bidco United with goals from Eric Kapaito and Patrick Otieno (Sharks). Nelson Chieta and Pistone Mutamba scored for Bidco.
