Scoville wins NCBA Golf Series at Vet Lab

Patrick Scoville was in imperious form as he emerged the winner in the second leg of the NCBA Golf Series at Vet Lab over the weekend.

Playing off handicap 12, Scoville shot 20 points in the front nine and 19 in the back nine for a total 39 stableford points.

Handicap 19 Mukesh Bector racked up men’s honours with scores of 16 in the front nine and 22 in the back nine for a total of 38 points.

Men’s runner up was handicap 18 Ishan Shah. Shah managed 19 in the first nine and a similar score in the second for a total of 38 points.

The Men’s third trophy went to handicap 22 Jeremy Kosgei.

Kosgei made a score of 21 points in the front nine and 17 in the back nine for a stableford total of 38.

Lady Winner was handicap 17 Joy Ndonga. She played  22 in the front nine and 17 in the back nine for a total of 39 points.

Lady runner up playing off handicap 22 and returning scores of 18 and 17 on both nines was Margaret Wairimu .

Lady’s third with a total of 31 made up of 15 and 16 was handicap 5 Chanelle Wangari.

Junior Winner was handicap 3 Steve Orinda with a total of 37 made up 17 and 20.

Longest Drive winner for.mem and  women were: Calden Smith and Joy Ndonga.

Nearest the Pin best man was Watson while best lady on the same was Mary Maingi.

NCBA Group Retail Banking Director,  Tirus Mwithiga said that NCBA is keen on partnerships and sponsorships that drive transformation, with sports being a key area of focus for the company.

“Our goal is to facilitate the growth of golf locally and in the process make Kenya an international golf destination. In addition, as a business, we believe sports sponsorships is a key avenue towards reaching out to our stakeholders across the country.” said Mwithiga.

Kitale and Eldoret Sports Club courses will host the next rounds on the same day on March 5.
